Clear-MiR™ Plus miRNA inhibitors

Antisense molecules have been shown to inhibit very efficiently the activities of specific miRNAs. Such an inhibition is correlated to an increase of the target gene(s) activity. In several reporter-gene based experiments, the co-transfection of antisense RNAs against several miRNA induced an approximately 4-fold increase in the expression of the reporter relative to cells co-transfected with a negative control inhibitor and the various miRNA reporter plasmids.

Store Clear-MiR™ miRNA inhibitors as a dry pellet at -20 °C (or preferably -70 °C) in a non-frost free freezer until ready to use. Once resuspended in RNase-free buffer, store at -70 °C and avoid contact with RNases.Clear-MiR™ miRNA inhibitors should be resuspended to a convenient stock concentration (20 to 50 µM) and stored in small aliquots to avoid multiple freeze thaw cycles. When stored under these conditions and using good RNase-free technique, they typically remain stable for 6 months or more. The solution can be freeze-thawed up to 5 times. For long-term storage, Clear-MiR™ miRNA inhibitors should be dried.

Clear-MiR™ miRNA inhibitors are chemically modified antisense RNA oligonucleotides optimized to specifically target miRNA molecules in cells.
Use of Clear-MiR™ miRNA inhibitors enables miRNA functional analysis for down-regulation of miRNA activity (loss-of-function mutants). These optimized miRNA Inhibitors represents essential tools to confirm or determine miRNA function.
