Plastics for MasterCycler® ep real plex

All our 96-well plates are made of virgin optical quality polypropylene, which causes no background fluorescence, so that Real-Time qPCR results can be obtained in the most accurate and reproducible way. the 96-well plates are available for each type of Real-Time thermocycler that can be combined either with optical falt or semi dome 8-caps strip or with qPCR optical seals. The plastic that we use is a special polypropylene that is of medical grade and virgin quality (antistatic characteristics / RNase and DNase free) and has been optimized to have as less as possible sticking to it and thus leading to higher yields. The plates are extremly flat, thin-walled and rigid but still flexible and show extreme uniformity. The extremely clear glass-grade area of the cap ensures very good transmission of the fluorescence and equals the performance properties of optical seals. When combined with our qPCR plates they exhibit better closure than other brand, thus less evaporation. Our adhesive optical seals have ewcellent optical quality properties and will not interfere with the signals leading to higher signal-to-noise ratio compared to other brand. The glue that we use has specially been developed for the type of plastic that we use, thus sticks to the plate very well and leads to better closure and less evaporation. the seals itself is thicker than usual films, which avoid the risk to tear up; moreover it will not curl and stick to itself.
