miRNA inhibition

Antisense molecules (complementary single stranded oligonucleotides) have been shown to inhibit very efficiently the activities of specific miRNAs. Such an inhibition is correlated to an increase of the target gene(s) activity and allows the generation of loss-of-function mutants.
 
The Clear-MiR™ miRNA inhibitors

Clear-MiR™ miRNA inhibitors are chemically modified antisense RNA oligonucleotides optimized to specifically target miRNA molecules in cells. Use of Clear-MiR™ miRNA inhibitors enables miRNA functional analysis for down-regulation of miRNA activity (loss-of-function mutants). These optimized miRNA inhibitor represent essential tools to confirm or determine miRNA function.

The Clear-MiR™ molecules are available in two different formats called Clear-MiR™ and Clear-MiR™ Plus inhibitors. Clear-MiR™ Plus miRNA inhibitors consist of an improved version of the standard Clear-MiR™ molecules. These inhibitors contain additional special modifications further increasing their resistance to nucleases. These unique features give rise to a very powerful class of miRNA antisense oligonucleotides perfectly suited for longlasting miRNA inhibition (e.g. in vivo).
