Eurogentec was founded in 1985 as a spin-off from the University of Liège (Belgium). Eurogentec S.A. is a leading global supplier of innovative reagents, kits, specialty products and custom services to scientists in the life science, biotechnology, pharmaceutical and diagnostic markets. Experts in small and large-scale DNA, RNA and peptide synthesis, Eurogentec is an experienced Contract Manufacturing Organization (CMO), and is fully ISO 9001 and ISO 13485:2003 certified. It operates two full-service state-of-the-art GMP-compliant manufacturing facilities in Belgium that provide high value custom biologics and a wide range of oligonucleotide-based components for diagnostic and therapeutic applications.

“Eurogentec Research” is specialized in innovative solutions in Genomics and Proteomics (oligonucleotide synthesis with a large range of modifications, Real-Time qPCR, microRNA, siRNA) and proposes a wide range of kits and consumables. It also gathers know-how in the design of peptides, either for antibody production or bioactive peptide purposes. Antibody production in a wide range of animal models as well as Peptide-, Antibody- and Protein Arrays are also key areas of expertise.
“Eurogentec Diagnostics and Therapeutics” manufactures cGMP components for DNA and RNA based Molecular Diagnostic Assay and is fully ISO 13485:2003 certified for production and sales of a wide range of IVD Oligonucleotides.
“Eurogentec Biologics“ is a full-service Contract Manufacturing Organization (CMO) delivering research, development and production services for cGMP clinical batch manufacturing.
Network
Eurogentec’s headquarters (administrative offices and production facilities) are located in the LIEGE Science Park. The company has subsidiaries in France, Germany, the UK, the Netherlands and Switzerland and production facilities in San Diego (USA) and in Toyama (Japan). The company is also present in Singapore thanks to a partnership with AIT Biotech Pte Ltd (previously Research Biolabs).
Eurogentec recently acquired AnaSpec, a privately held proteomics company based in Fremont, California. Founded in 1993, AnaSpec is a leading provider of integrated proteomics solutions for life science research and diagnostics with expertise in peptides synthesis, labelled peptides and antibodies, fluorescent dyes and enzyme activity assays.
The EGT Group currently employs over 400 people, including around 40 PhDs.
Collaborations
Eurogentec participates in innovative research projects through strategic alliances with other companies and renowned academic laboratories. It is a consortium member in various types of European research projects. It has collaborative agreement with the German Cancer Research Center DKFZ and the Molecular Biology center EMBL (Heidelberg, Germany), the Pasteur Institute of Paris, the INRA, the CNRS, the INSERM, the IGBMC and various private companie such as GPC (Munich, Germany), Aventis Pharma, Aventis Cropscience, GlaxoSmithKline, DiaMed EuroGen, Exiqon. Eurogentec is also involved in the spin-off Probiox, supported by internationally, renowned scientist Professor Montagnier, aiming to develop new biochips to detect oxidative stress.
