21 June 2002 - Eurogentec receives the "Wallonia's Special Export Award 2002 Europe"

Yesterday, Eurogentec received the "Wallonia's Special Export Award Europe" rewarded by the Walloon Export Agency (AWEX).

Created in 1991, this challenge is now organised every two years and rewards Walloon companies particularly dynamic in foreign countries.
Thirty six companies participated to this eighth edition of the "Wallonia's Special Export Award", but only eight have been awarded. This high number of candidates shows the evolution of Walloon companies on exports.
This year the winners have been divided in four categories: Special award to large-scale exportation (IBt S.A. and NMC S.A.), Special award Europe (Eurogentec S.A.), Wallonia's Export Award (Cullen International S.A., Mydibel S.A., Stoquart S.A. and Visiglas S.A.) and the special grade "Youth Export" (Coris BioConcept SPRL).
By giving that kind of awards, Awex aims to bring exemplary companies to the fore. This allows to spread an export culture on the whole Wallonia.

Selection criteria:

Every company having its headquarters in Wallonia and developing a significant activity in terms of employment or added value can participate to this challenge on a three-criteria basis:
- an analysis of the file backed up by figures which proves the success of the company on exports, that is to say the evolution of the turnover, the amount in absolute value of the turnover exported, evolution of employment, etc.
- company dynamism on exports: entering one or several markets or the opening of a difficult market.
- its efforts to encourage R&D, to preserve the environment and better off the design of its products are also taken into account.
- exports quality that has to give a positive image of Wallonia.

Awards and advantages:

As a prizewinner, Eurogentec can mention that he has been awarded "Wallonia's Special Export Award Europe" on its documents and is invited to participate to two missions of its choice organised by Awex.
All the prizewinners receive a trophy designed by a Walloon artist and are presented in the international promotion documents of the Walloon Region.
