The easiest and most efficient way to achieve RNAi is to use synthetic small interfering RNAs (siRNA). Standard siRNAs are duplexes of short mixed oligonucleotides. These are typically made of 19 RNA nucleotides with symmetric 2 nucleotides (usually DNA bases) 3’ overhangs.

Quality Control

   MALDI-TOF Mass Spectrometry

Delivery times

   5 Working days

Packaging

Annealed in solution or not annealed lyophilized

Shipping conditions

Dry ice (solution) or Room temperature (lyophilized)

Storage conditions

   -20 °C to -70 °C
Store siRNA oligos as a dry pellet at -20°C (or preferably -70 °C) in a non-frost free freezer until ready to use. Once resuspended in RNase-free buffer, store at -70 °C and avoid contact with RNases. siRNA oligos should be resuspended to a convenient stock concentration (20 to 50 µM) and stored in small aliquots to avoid multiple freeze thaw cycles. When stored under these conditions and using good RNase-free technique, they typically remain stable for 6 months or more. The solution can be freeze-thawed up to 5 times. For long-term storage, siRNA oligos should be dried.

SePOP siRNA : High pure desalted siRNA
To allow screening and sequence assessment, Eurogentec has developed an high-throughput small scale synthesis platform for the production of desalted siRNA.

  • 2 complementary siRNA strands (19 RNA bases plus 2 x 3’-DNA overhang bases)
  • 40 nmol synthesis scale
  • Desalted and fully deprotected
  • 1 OD guaranteed per strand
  • 100 % MALDI-TOF Mass Spectrometry controlled
  • In order to ensure maximum stability and, if not annealed, all siRNAs are provided lyophilized in individual tubes.
  • Free annealing on request (shipped with free annealing buffer and RNase-free water).

In order to up-scale experiments with a validated sequence, Eurogentec is also proposing the two following production scales: 0.2 and 1 µmol.

PAGE siRNA : High quality and yields

  • 2 complementary siRNA strands (19 RNA bases plus 2 x 3’-DNA overhang bases)
  • 0.2 µmol or 1 µmol synthesis scales
  • Desalted, fully deprotected and PAGE purified (average purity > 95 %)
  • 0.2 µmol synthesis scale, 10 OD guaranteed per strand (50 nmol of a 21 mer)
  • 1 µmol synthesis scale, 15 OD guaranteed per strand (80 nmol of a 21 mer)
  • 100 % MALDI-TOF Mass Spectrometry controlled
  • In order to ensure maximum stability and, if not annealed, all siRNAs are provided lyophilized in individual tubes.
  • Free annealing on request (shipped with free annealing buffer and RNase-free water).

Please note that each single siRNA strand can be ordered separately.
