Fluorescein additive

Fluorescein additive Order

The Fluorescein Passive Reference consists of an inert dye whose fluorescence is stable along the qPCR reaction, allowing the normalization of well-to-well variations that may result from pipetting erros or instrument limitations. Fluorescein allows the collection of Dynamic Well Factors from the experimental plate, which is the recommended method.

Eurogentec's Fluorescein passive reference has been specifically developed for use on Bio-Rad Real-Time thermocyclers such as iCycler iQ®, iQ5 or My iQ.

For your convenience, Eurogentec has also developed a SYBR® Green I kit already containing fluorescein in a ready-to-use MasterMix. Alternatively a separate tube of fluorescein can be ordered in case you would like to use fluorescein in combination with any of our No ROX SYBR® Green I kits.

The fluorescein additive contains 1 mM fluorescein in DMSO

Storage conditions

For long term storage the Fluorescein Additive should be stored at -15 °C to -25 °C in a constant temperature freezer. Avoid repetitive freeze-Thaw cycles.
Minimize exposure to direct light.
When stored under these conditions the reagents are stable for a minimum of twelve months.

When using a SYBR® Green I kit on an iCycler iQ®, iQ5 or My iQ, fluorescein is required to normalize the data efficiently. For your convenience, Eurogentec has developed a SYBR® Green I kit already containing fluorescein in a ready-to-use MasterMix. Alternatively a separate tube of fluorescein can be ordered in case you would like to use fluorescein in combination with any of our No ROX SYBR® Green I kits.

The fluorescein additive is 1 mM concentrated in DMSO
