Our qPCR 96-well plate sub-skirted, high profile, natural are compatible with regular ABI 96-well plate Real Time thermocyclers (ABI GeneAmp® 5700 SDS, ABI Prism® 7000, 7300, 7500, 7700, 7900) and are made of a special polypropylene of optical quality and of medical grade and virgin quality. These plates are high profile, thin-walled, sub-skirted, natural, frosted and have optical quality.
These plates have a very rigid stabilized frame. All the tubes have been designed frosted to improve Real Time qPCR signal yields. Concerning the closing of the plate we propose either to use optical caps (semi-domed or flat 8-cap strips)* or seals. If optical seals are used with these plates for the use of ABI instruments, it is recommended to use a compression pad. *When qPCR 96-well plates for ABI Systems, reference RT-PL96-AB are closed with semi-dome caps the height of caps and rim is the same, so the pressure of the lid is applied equally and a good closure is achieved, leading to minimum popping open of lids. When qPCR 96-well plates for ABI Systems, reference RT-PL96-AB are closed with Flat caps a maximal signal is obtained as the optical area of a flat cap is bigger than of a domed cap. So depending on your need both cap types can be used.
