SePOP (Selective Precipitation optimised Process) has been specifically developed to increase the purity level of the deprotected and desalted oligonucleotides.
This technique is based on a differential precipitation process and allows purification of oligonucleotides from 15 to 80 bases.
During SePOP desalting, the largest part of contaminants (truncated material < 15 bases) will be eliminated and the oligonucleotides will be segregated with respect to their biophysical properties. To achieve the optimum result, three parameters are strictly managed: temperature, time of precipitation and the nature of the salt used in the precipitation. The purity level up to 75 % obtained is therefore adequate for most common applications, such as standard PCR, sequencing and hybridisation.
