Covance offers a comprehensive portfolio of detection chemistries designed to meet the immunohistochemistry needs of hospitals, researchers and reference laboratories. Covance detection reagents are available in biotin based and biotin free kits in variety of sizes. The leading detection products of the Covance product portfolio are ACUITY polymer and ULTRASTREPTAVIDIN detection products. 

ACUITY is a sensitive biotin free polymer detection system, designed for use with monoclonal and polyclonal antibodies.  With Acuity you can: 

  • Get crisp, clean and consistent staining 
  • Save costs by using less antibody, thanks to its ultra-sensitive format 
  • work with primary antibodies raised in mouse, rat and rabbit 
  • Eliminate possible non-specific background using the special blocking solution provided

 

The ULTRASTREPTAVIDIN (USA) kit offers a traditional biotin based kit, also for use with monoclonal and polyclonal antibodies. It combines the indirect labeling technique, the avidin-biotin chemical bonding principle and a unique formulation of ultrastrepatvidin. Reagents are available in several volumes to meet the needs of every laboratory, including bulk volumes (upon request) for use on automated immunostainers.
