Sensolyte® Assay Kits

We are pleased to propose a large panel of assay kits aimed at detecting the presence and/or the activity of enzymes and related compounds.


Sensolyte® kits are based on the following detection methods:

ELISA


The target molecule is captured on a solid support, and detection is performed using a labeled secondary antibody. Examples are the detection of anti-MOG IgG, anti-PLP IgG, and Matrix Metalloproteinases (MMPs). 

Enzymatic assay


All assays measure either the consumption of substrate or production of product over time. The concentration of substrates/products as well the activity of enzymes can be assayed. 

Applications:
  • Detection of target compounds: glutathione, thiol, OPA (for protein quantification), NADP/NADPH
  • Assay of enzymes: peroxidases, alkaline phosphatases, glutathione S transferases, β-galactosidases, protein kinases, deacetylases, acetylatransferases, demethylases

Protease assay


Protease assays are based on fluorogenic peptide substrates or on FRET peptides. Fluorescence or Förster resonance energy transfer (FRET) is a distance-dependant transfer of excited state energy from an excited donor (fluorophore) to an acceptor (another fluorophore or a quencher). This transfer prevents the fluorophore to emit a fluorescent signal. Proteolytic cleavage of the FRET peptide releases the fluorescent signal. Kinase assays: ACE2, aggrecanase-1, α-secretase, calpain, caspases, cathepsins, deubiquitinating enzymes, DDPIV, elastase, generic proteases, MMPs, plasmin, plasminogen activator, renin, thrombin, viral proteases.
