For the first-time generation of antibodies against a particular antigen, we recommend the Double X strategy. The Double X strategy involves the design of two peptides from the same antigen and immunizing the animal hosts with both peptides at the same time. This co-immunization more closely mimics the protein than a single peptide strategy and we have success rates in the 90 % in Western Blots using this technique.
