Texas Red®-X is a commonly used red wavelength fluorescent dye. Texas Red® is an isomer mixture.

It is available only as an NHS Ester and requires attachment to an amino-modified oligonucleotide. The fluorescent dye is linked to the oligonucleotide backbone via a long spacer.

  • - Spin the tube briefly to collect the pellet in the bottom of the tube - Add an appropriate volume of recommended buffer (refer to technical data sheet) - Allow the tube to stand a few minutes - Vortex the tube for 15 seconds
